Freedom Alliance Party Leader Jagath Karunaratne says that they have shortlisted 31 people that could be provisional candidates for them in this year’s general elections.
Karunaratne says the names will be announced soon as some of the people have to fulfill some requirements by tomorrow.
He says that they are in discussions with other parties for a coalition.
He also says people will find out who are the big and small parties after the elections, and things cannot be judged on the last elections.
In the 2014 elections when Freedom Alliance Party was known as the Fiji United Freedom Party, they only fielded three candidates and received 1072 votes.
They could not meet the 5%threshold of the total number of votes cast to get a seat in parliament.
