The people of Labasa now have access to free wifi which is part of the government’s initiative which aims to increase internet access for the people of Fiji.
This is after the free Wifi program was launched in Labasa earlier today opposite the Labasa Carrier Stand.
Speaking at the launch, Walesi Director Robert Khan says that the free Wifi will benefit Fijians for study purposes and will also connect them to the world.
Students from various schools in the northern division were present at the launch today.
Fijivillage took out time to speak to some of the students who spoke highly about this initiative.
Labasa Muslim College student Rosiana Balaiteve says she had to pay for internet services to complete her projects, however she will now save money and also have the ability to learn via research.
Balaiteve has thanked the government for this initiative as this will greatly benefit her studies and in the long run and her future.
