Four men to be produced in court for separate cases of alleged assault of Police Officers

Four men will be produced in the Nausori Magistrates Court today for separate cases of allegedly assaulting Police Officers. 

Two men were arrested in Korovou while two were arrested in Vunidawa.

Last Sunday, two men allegedly assaulted a Police officer who was trying to wake up a man that was lying in the middle of the road in Korovou.

The men allegedly tore the officer’s reflector vest during the incident.

Both men were drunk at the time of the incident.

In Vunidawa, two men were arrested after they allegedly stoned a Police Officer in Vunidawa on the 30th of last month.

As a result the officer received injuries on his leg.
