Another four men have been taken in for questioning by Police for attacking a team of six police officers at an early morning robbery on Thursday.
Seven men had robbed a 64-year-old businessman of Visama Road, Nausori of cash and assorted items worth more than $32,000 before fleeing in the victim's van.
A team of six police officers who were on mobile patrol responded to the report and pursued the vehicle up until Farm Road, 10 miles where it was abandoned.
All seven suspects then proceeded to attack the police officers and police dog by throwing stones and bottles at the vehicle and managed to escape.
Two others have been questioned and released.
A 38‑year‑old man remains in police custody for his alleged involvement in the robbery.
Meanwhile, in separate cases recorded in the Western Division four men were taken in for their alleged involvement in a number of robberies.
Two of the suspects are also under investigation for a number of robberies in the Southern and Eastern Division.
