Four Fijian students get scholarships to Korea

Four Fijian students have been awarded scholarship to study in Korea.

Undergraduate students Sunia Loga, Ratu Jone Parkes Savou and PhD students Patrick Mark Singh and Joji Wata are among 102 other students from countries in Asia, Africa and the Pacific that were granted scholarships which includes a monthly allowance of $1000 US dollars.

The scholarships were sponsored by Booyoung Company Limited in collaboration with Woojung Education and Cultural Foundation in Korea.

Booyoung Company Limited is a construction company based in Seoul, South Korea.

Fiji’s Resident Ambassador in the Republic of Korea, Filimone Kau said the support from agencies such as Booyoung Group and its Woojung Education and Cultural Foundation was vital and is appreciated.

Kau added scholarships like these not only assist our Fijian students but also other potential global leaders around the world.
