A former student of a prominent high school in Suva has pleaded guilty to one count of assault in the Suva Magistrates Court.
The student who was in Year 13 at the time of the incident is alleged to have punched another student while they were both on their way to the Principal's office.
Some teachers had intervened and stopped the fight and the matter was reported at the Totogo Police Station.
The incident occurred on 26th July last year.
The student is in University now.
Magistrate Deepika Prakash has adjourned the case to the 27th of this month for mitigation.
The man's bail has been extended.
