A former Special Constable of the Fiji Police Force has been convicted on bribery charges.
He will be sentenced on the 18th of this month by the Lautoka High Court.
Rohinesh Prasad is charged by FICAC with three counts of bribery.
He was found guilty of accepting $1,000 and soliciting an advantage of $500 to arrange for the bail and discharge of three suspects in a criminal case in the Nadi Magistrates Court.
The assessors found the accused not guilty in their opinion.
High Court Judge Justice Aruna Aluthge found the accused guilty of all counts.
