A former headteacher of a primary school in Naitasiri charged with multiple sexual offences will hear his bail ruling this Friday.
42‑year‑old Ravuama Vunivalu Vuibau appeared before Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza this morning.
State counsel Taitusi Tuenuku objected to his bail application considering the seriousness of the charge and taking into account the public interest.
However defence counsel Nemani Tuifagalele says that looking at the medical report he doesn't know how the charge will be sustained.
Tuifagalele further guaranteed to the court that Vuibau will not re-offend whilst on bail.
Vuibau is charged with one count of rape and sexual assault, three counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecently annoying any person.
The victims are aged between 12 and 14 years and it is alleged that Vuibau had committed the offenses sometime between the beginning of the school term until early September this year.
