The former head teacher of a primary school in Naitasiri who was found guilty of multiple counts of sexual offences will be sentenced on the 19th of September.
He is charged with one count of rape, one count of sexual assault, 3 counts of indecent assault and 2 counts of indecently annoying someone.
While making her sentencing submissions, Prosecution lawyer, Moira Konrote told the court that they are seeking for a sentence above the tariff which is 11 to 20 years for the count of rape.
Konrote says for the offence of sexual assault they have asked for over 4 years imprisonment and above 2 years for the offence of indecent assault.
She told the court that it should take into consideration that these offences occurred during school hours and in one incident, he told the student that he would expel her if she told someone.

There are six victims between the ages of 12 and 14 and the offences happened in 2017.
