Flood waters enter parts of Rakiraki Town

Police say flood waters have started to enter the market area in Rakiraki Town.

They say Raiwasa Bridge has also been closed as it is flooded.

Qalau, FSC back road and the road to Naqoro flats are also closed.

Residents of Qelema settlement have also moved to high ground as their houses are flooded.

Business owners in Rakiraki have started moving their stock and securing their shops from the last hour.

A restaurant owner Azam Ali says all access into Rakiraki Town is closed.
