A flood alert is now in force for all low lying areas and areas adjacent to small streams in the Central and Eastern divisions.
In their latest update, the Nadi Weather Office says that the water level at the rivers in Naqali, Waimanu and Rakiraki are above alert level and increasing.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for Yasawa, Mamanuca and Lomaiviti group, eastern half and interior of Viti Levu which includes Rakiraki, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Nausori, Suva, Navua and Pacific Harbor.
A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the Fiji group.
It is expected to affect the country till the weekend.
