Five men and a juvenile who are charged with one count of each of unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs have been further remanded in the custody by the Sigatoka Magistrates Court.
They allegedly cultivated marijuana in the Navosa Highlands.
Sitiveni Sanawa, Waisale Vatanirua, Penioni Buyalevu, Semesa Banuve and Seveci Takaiwai appeared before Magistrate Tomasi Bainivalu.
The 17-year-old juvenile has been bailed out for the sum of $1,000.
It is alleged that eight people are involved in the cultivation of marijuana in the Navosa Highlands.
Three people also charged with the unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs were produced in a special court sitting over the weekend.
Sakiusa Balenavatu was charged with two counts while Semi Nauca and Maciu Libu have both been charged with one count each.
The three have been remanded in custody and their next court hearing will be on the 8th of next month with other five people.
More than 38,000 marijuana plants have been uprooted by the Operation Cavuraka team currently in the Navosa Highlands.
