To tackle the rise in non-communicable diseases and have a healthier nation, a first of its kind medical symposium has been organized in Suva this Sunday.
The Fiji National University has partnered with the Apollo Hospital’s Group to host this symposium.
The symposium will have a confluence of some of the best minds from various streams of medicine like Cardiac Sciences, Neurosciences, Orthopedics, Oncology, Renal Transplant and Critical Care Nursing including doctors from Apollo Hospitals.
A Consultant Radiation Oncologist from Apollo Hospitals Dr. Kausik Bhatta-charya is hopeful that through this symposium, his medical team will have clearer picture of health care in Fiji and how assistance can be provided.
The Ministry of Health is also supporting this medical symposium.
The official inauguration of the symposium will be done by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama this Sunday.
