4PM Update
The Patterson Shipping Company office building in Main Street Nausori was destroyed in a fire earlier today.
National Fire Authority Chief Fire Officer Qionilau Moceitai says the investigation on the cause of the fire will be done later.
He says the Authority at this point in time is waiting for the burning ambers to be extinguished before anything else can be done.
Moceitai has also confirmed that the cost of the damage has not been established yet.
No one received any injuries in the fire.
The Nausori Fire Station received a call regarding the fire at midday.
Two fire trucks and 11 firefighters were deployed to the scene and they managed to contain the fire at 12.57pm today.
The Patterson Shipping Company says they will comment later about the fire.
12PM Update
Firefighters have managed to control the fire at the Pattersons Shipping Office in Main Street Nausori which started this morning.
Two fire trucks and 11 firefighters were deployed to the scene and helped stop the fire from spreading to the two nearby buildings.
Earlier today
Main street Nausori Town is covered with smoke at the moment as the Patterson Shipping Office is currently on fire.
Eyewitnesses saw the fire start at around 11.45 this morning.
The Nausori Fire Station received a call about the fire at about midday today.
Firefighters are currently at the scene and are trying to put out the fire as there is a risk of the fire spreading to the two nearby buildings.
There is heavy traffic in main street Nausori Town because of the fire and Police are at the scene directing traffic.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes.
