Fire fighters save a double storey house in Suva

The double storey house that caught fire in Howell road, Samabula

Fire fighters managed to put out a fire in a double storey house in Howell Rd, Samabula this morning.

A carpenter who was doing renovations at the top flat and alerted the National Fire Authority when he saw smoke coming out from the bottom flat.

The fire started at around 9am and the tenant was not at home.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
