The Minister for Finance, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said that an invitation has been sent to the Leaders of the Opposition parties, Ro Teimumu Kepa and Biman Prasad to attend the Special Budget forum that will held on Saturday.
Sayed-Khaiyum said they had sent out invitations to the two leaders to attend the forum because they want to use it as an opportunity for everyone to work together in creating a way forward.
He said that the aim for the forum will be to create the best outcome for all Fijians.
Sayed-Khaiyum said that the Ministry of Finance has been receiving favorable comments about the forum.
He said that they have 126 participants who have confirmed that they will be taking part in the forum.
He added that the Ministry of Finance is very positive about the Budget Forum as it will be a good way to structure the budget and government policies.
The Ministry of Finance Budget Forum will be held at the Grand Pacific Hotel on Saturday.
