The Native Lands Commission will make their final decision on the Vunivalu of Natewa title on the 16th of next month.
Commission Chairman, Ratu Sireli Vananalagi Vesikula told Fijivillage from Vanua Levu this morning that two chiefs have been installed as the Vunivalu of Natewa.
Ratu Rakuita Vakalalabure from the Valenisau clan was installed earlier this year while Ratu Ifereimi Buaserau from the Valelevu clan was installed in 2014.
The chairman said the NLC had registered Buaserau but Vakalalabure has challenged the title and claims that he is the rightful holder of the title.
After hearing from different clan heads of the vanua of Natewa yesterday about the procedures involved in installing the Vunivalu, Ratu Sireli said he will compile the records and compare it with the NLC records.
Meanwhile the other chiefly title dispute that the NLC will attend to include the Tui Nalolo title in Nadroga.
