Fiji’s largest hotel trade show HOTEC 2014 is currently underway with 30 exhibitors including 21 local operators.
Speaking at the opening of the show, Tourism Minister Faiyaz Koya said it is an opportunity for the hotel operators and hotel-related activity providers to come together and share knowledge, experiences and appraise others in the latest trends, outlook and growth.
Koya highlighted that the Tourism Industry is the largest foreign exchange earner, earning approximately 33 percent of the GDP and the total income from the industry stands at around $1.32 billion.
