Fijians in Canada have come together to assist cyclone affected families in Fiji.
Newly formed Fiji Disaster Relief Society in Vancouver donated over FJD$15,000 to Habitat for Humanity Fiji for TC Josie/Keni relief work.
These funds were collected during a fundraising event organised last month.
Fiji’s Honorary Consular to Canada, Bobby Naicker accepted the cheque on behalf of Habitat for Humanity Fiji, at the Khanna Banquet Hall in Surrey.
Fiji Rugby 7s legend, Waisale Serevi was the guest speaker at the fundraising event and donated one of his past signed rugby jerseys to auction and boost the fund drive.
