Fijians came out in numbers to support the Miss Fiji float in Apia this morning.
People were seen dressed in kalavata and dancing along with Miss Fiji, Anne Dunn and the Fijian team at the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant’s float parade.
The float was designed by Eva village youth, Michael Mausio and Frances from Lei Entertainers.
The Fijian float finished in third place while Samoa was awarded the first place and Tonga was placed second.
The crowning ceremony for the 30th Miss Pacific Islands will take place at 8 tonight.
The winners of the Research Topic, Talent, Sarong and Traditional Attire competitions will also be announced tonight.
Eight contestants are vying for this year’s Miss Pacific Islands crown. They are from Fiji, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Nauru, Tonga and the Cook Islands.
