The Prime Minister’s National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund has been boosted by another $10,000 donation from a Fijian‑owned company operating out of Australia ‑ Mesh and Bar Pty Limited.
The cheque was handed over to the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama by the company’s managing director Daksesh Patel at the company’s main office in Glendenning, New South Wales in Australia.
Patel says it was the company’s duty in assisting their fellow countrymen and women.
Bainimarama acknowledged the contribution and thanked the company for its assistance in helping Fijians rebuild their lives.
Mesh and Bar Ltd employs over 300 staff, in which one third are Pacific islanders.
