The Fijian youths are talented, creative, innovative and they are ready to take up new challenges.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya who adds that the Kula dance and film competition provides a wonderful opportunity and platform for these creative and talented students.
He says that government is committed to investing in the future of this country, which are the youth.
The Tourism Minister adds that the Kula Awards is the first stepping stone for the students towards turning their hobbies to income generating opportunities in the audio‑visual industry
Koya also highlighted that this would directly benefit the growth of the audio‑visual industry in Fiji, which the Fijian Government has identified as a priority sector under the Fijian Trade Policy Framework.
The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism has yet again partnered with Film Fiji to host the 12th Kula Awards that has 24 schools registered to compete in the competition.
The 12th Kula Film Awards will be held this Friday and Saturday.
