The Fijian Elections Office has started the process of preparing postal ballot packages for the 2018 General Elections.
Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says that as of yesterday the Elections Office had received a total of 4,450 applications for postal voting.
The postal package will contain a ballot paper, a voter instruction booklet, a postal information pamphlet, a secret envelope and one transmission envelope.
Saneem says once the voters receive the packages, they the fill the ballot paper according to the procedures and send their postal ballot to the address printed on the front of the return envelope.
Saneem says all mails are prepaid and voters will only need to call EMS or DHL for collection.
Supervisor of Elections is calling on people who intend to do postal voting to submit their application before 5pm next Wednesday.
