FijiFirst Candidate Jone Usamate has reiterated in a campaign meeting in Nadawa that the FijiFirst Party will accept the results of next week’s general elections.
Speaking to about 40 people at Qari road in Nadawa, Usamate said that if the people have spoken and FijiFirst loses they will let the peoples will be done.
Usamate also stressed that accepting the results of the elections is the basic idea of democracy.
He also said that democracy is when power is in the hands of the people.
Usamate also stressed that it is impossible for i-Taukei to lose their land because it is protected under the 2013 constitution.
Usamate has also clarified that the Land Use Decree is not a way for Bainimarama to control all the land in Fiji.
He said that the idea behind the land use decree is to give i-Taukei landowners the opportunity to make their land available for government to utilize it.
Usamate added that landowners will have full control over their land and no one can sell it off.
He then stressed that the i-Taukei should not believe rumors about their land being taken away.
