Two new FijiFirst MPs were sworn in today.
They are Matai Akauola and Mohammed Dean.
The two replace Jioji Konrote and Sanjit Patel.
Matai Akauola was a journalist for 30 years and is the current Communications Manager for the Oceania National Olympic Committee.
Akauola told parliament that he is passionate about the media, sports and building strong families.
He said that he decided to join the Fiji First Party because of its strong sense of patriotism.
Meanwhile, fellow government MP Mohammed Dean is a former school teacher and was a senior lecturer with the Technical College of Fiji Nadi Campus.
Dean said he joined the Fiji First party because of the strong admiration he had for Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama.
