FijiFirst provisional candidate Lisi Naziah Tora Ali has been disqualified as a candidate on the grounds that she was out of the country for more than six months in the last 2 years.
This was highlighted by FijiFirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum while speaking at the FijiFirst Family Fun Day at Garvey Park in Tavua last night.
Sayed‑Khaiyum says that Naziah Ali will continue to work with FijiFirst and announced that Ali will be working as the leader of the FijiFirst Youth Wing.
While addressing the crowd, Ali says the young people in Fiji are not forgotten adding that FijiFirst has thought of every Fijian and the future of all Fijians is secure and stable.
Ali was one of 11 women candidates whose names were announced last month in the FijiFirst lineup. Ali earlier stated that she feels like she now belongs in Fiji after Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama ensured that every citizen in Fiji is called a Fijian.
