27-year-old Ilaisa Senimoli and 21-year-old Sofia Mucunabitu will be representing Fiji at the Chinese proficiency final in Changsha, China in July.
Both are currently students of the University of the South Pacific, studying the Chinese language and are winners of the Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students in the Fiji Regional competition.
The wife of the Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Lu Qi says that she believes that with the further development and the relationship between China and Fiji, more and more bilingual and multilingual talents are needed.
She hopes that all students studying Chinese language will work hard to learn the Chinese culture, to light up their own future, and to make contributions to the friendship between China and Fiji in the spirit of 'One World, One Family’.
