The Fiji Men’s National 7s team has won their game after thumping Uganda 54-0 at the Commonwealth Games 7s.

The national side scored eight tries as their defensive effort and restart kept them with more possession and controlled the game.

Captain Jerry Tuwai scored Fiji’s first try while Eroni Sau, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Vatemo Ravouvou scored the other tries in the first half as Fiji was leading 26-0 at the break.

The tries in the second half came from Amenoni Nasilasila, Kalione Nasoko, Josua Vakurinabili and Paula Dranisinukula.

Fiji will now take on Wales at 11.33pm in their last pool game.

There will be no quarterfinals as the top four teams will go straight to the semifinals at 1.43pm tomorrow and the Commonwealth 7s final will kick off at 5.04pm tomorrow.
