Fiji through to fifth place final against USA after defeating Ireland 38-5

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team is through to the Paris 7s fifth place play-off after defeating Ireland 38-5 in the semi final.

Fiji’s series hope is still alive and will now await the winner between Spain and USA for the final at 4.07am tomorrow.

The national side crossed over with six tries from Amenoni Nasilasila and Alasio in the first half.

Paula Dranisinukula scored two twice while Jerry Tuwai and Waisea Nacuqu scored a try each.

Fiji will take on USA in the fifth place play-off at 4.07am.

Meanwhile, England will face Canada at 12.03am in the first cup quarter final while New Zealand will face South Africa in the other quarters.

The cup final will be held at 4.54am tomorrow.
