The Fiji government is open to having discussions with the Solomon Islands government in relation to the suspension of flights between Fiji and the Solomon Islands.
Attorney General and Minister for Civil Aviation Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said suspension of flights is not good and they are ready to have talks.
Sayed-Khaiyum said Fiji provides the link to the Solomon Islands from other countries.
In an earlier interview, Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director Stefan Pichler said the suspension of flights between Fiji and the Solomon Islands does not have any impact on Fiji Airways.
Pichler said they have analyzed the situation and saw that the suspension of flights to Honiara will see them utilize the plane elsewhere.
