Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says Fiji needs to embed strong foundations for our economy.
He says this requires a national approach irrespective of political differences.
Sayed-Khaiyum made a call in parliament today for people not to try and undermine the economy.
He also stressed that the Fiji Roads Authority has every right to question its contractor, MWH Global=s invoices.
Meanwhile Sayed-Khaiyum says we will still have economic growth of about 2.5 percent despite the devastating effects of Cyclone Winston.
He also says that reconstruction efforts after Cyclone Winston continue and stresses that their focus is to ensure that they build better to withstand future cyclones.
