Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Coach, Gareth Baber says that the team will be looking for better momentum as they prepare to take on Ireland in the quarterfinal of the London 7s tonight.

Fiji topped Pool B winning all their matches and Baber says that their games were tough however the team was able to pick up the pace and create space which they hope to continue throughout the tournament.

Fiji defeated Samoa 26‑17 in their last pool match.

They earlier beat Kenya 24‑17 in their first pool match and defeated France 31‑10 in their second pool match.

Meanwhile Ireland stunned England 21-17 in their opening Pool game at the London 7s before suffering defeat to New Zealand 34-7 but qualified for the quarterfinals after their 43‑12 win over Scotland.

Fiji will take on Ireland in the last quarterfinal at 11.04 tonight.

In other quarterfinals, South Africa will take on Australia, New Zealand will face France in the second quarterfinal while USA will take on Canada in the third quarter final.

The quarterfinals will start at 9.58 tonight, Cup semifinals will start at 1.48am tomorrow and the Cup final will be played at 4.57am tomorrow.

Barring any upsets, Fiji is likely to meet USA or Argentina in the semifinal and New Zealand or South Africa in the final.
