Fiji’s Foreign Policy Statement Workshop in Holiday Inn aims to guide the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strategic direction in the conduct of our relations with overseas countries.
Speaking to more than 20 senior officials and Permanent Secretaries from different Government Ministries, Minister for Foreign Affairs Ratu Inoke Kubuabola said this is the first time ever that the government has come up with the draft policy statement which sets out the principles, priorities, goals and objectives of the foreign policy of Fiji.
Fiji’s Ambassador to Japan, Isikeli Mataitoga who is attending the workshop said it’s history in the making for the Ministry and Fiji as a whole.
While Fiji’s High Commissioner designate to Papua New Guinea Esala Teleni said the workshop will help them to be more focused in their approach and also to strengthen Fiji’s position at International level.
