The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Team will face USA in the second semi-finals of the London 7s at 2.10am Monday after defeating a strong Irish side 33-24 in their quarterfinal match.

Fiji had a poor start to the game where they were starved of possession within the first three minutes.

The Irish took advantage of Fiji’s lacking and scored two tries before Fiji finally made a break for a try each through Meli Derenalagi, Aminiasi Tuimaba and Jerry Tuwai.
Fiji led 21-12 at halftime.
Fiji’s other tries came from Vilimoni Botitu and Asaeli Tuivoka.
Meanwhile Australia will meet France in the first semi-final at 1.48am Monday.
The Cup final will be played at 4.57am Monday.
