Fiji bounced back from their opening pool match defeat to Samoa to top Pool C thanks to a narrow 15‑12 win over Argentina before beating Japan 43‑7 in the quarter‑final.
Jasa Veremalua, Osea Kolinisau, Jerry Tuwai, Pio Tuwai, Savenaca Rawaca and Amenoni Nasilasila scored tries for Fiji against Japan.
Ryan says they are expecting a tough game against USA.
The second day of the Las Vegas 7s saw a record crowd of 35,716 fans.
In other quarter finals, USA beat Kenya 26-14 while South Africa await Australia after beating New Zealand for the first time since the 2014 Port Elizabeth Sevens.
South Africa beat NZ 14-7 while Australia beat Argentina 26-12.
Fiji will meet USA at 8.50 this morning in the first Cup semi final.
The cup final will be held at 11.57 this morning.
