The Fiji Bus Operators Association is expected to meet later this week to decide on providing services on September 17th which will be a public holiday.
The Electoral Commission met with the Bus Operators last week on this issue.
Many questions are currently being raised on whether normal public transport services will be provided on the day of general elections.
When questioned by Fijivillage on this matter, Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem said that the Electoral Commission is working on this issue and a statement will be released later this week.
