Fiji born hindi artist Meghna Goundar launched her first ever album ‘Kya Ho Gaya’ on Sunday at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
Achieving success as such was not an easy task, as the need to keep updated with school work and the desire to prosper in music industry was a challenge for the 16-year-old.
Making a debut at the age of four in a concert in Ba gave confidence to young Goundar.
Influenced by her dad, who she considers her guru knew that her daughter was always a born singer.
Goundars father further motivated her and sent her to Shankar Mahadevan Academy in Banglore, India which helped her shape her voice.
Goundars album also contains voices of Indias music gurus such as Mr Pradip Pandit, Navin Tripathi and Manish Tripati.
Her album is of romance about a teenage girl who falls in love for the first time and shows her emotions through singing.
Goundar encourages youths to step up and work hard to achieve their dreams as nothing will be able to stop them if they have the confidence.
Her concert was enhanced with the presence of Sapna Awasthi Singh, Monty Sharma and Shravan Rathod who have been famous playback singers and music directors of songs such as Chaiyya Chaiyya from Dil se and movie Saawariya.
