The Permanent Secretary for Agriculture David Kolitagane formerly welcomed the Delegates Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative from the Kingdom of Thailand this morning.
The delegates are attending the Fiji-Thailand 2nd Session of Joint Agriculture Working Group Meeting that is currently underway at the Holiday Inn in Suva.
Kolitagane says that in the meeting there will be discussions on the six proposals that were brought about in the first meeting between the two countries that was held in Thailand in 2016.
Kolitagane adds that so far the trades between the two nations have been progressing well and they hope to discuss further the issue of rice farming during the meeting.
The delegation will be visiting the Koronivia Reseach station and the Navuso Agricultural School later today and will be hosted to a dinner, hosted by Fiji’s Minister for Agriculture Inia Seruiratu later tonight.
The Permanent Secretary for Agriculture of the Kingdom of Thailand Lertviroj Kowatiana thanked the Kolitagane for the mutual relationship between the two Ministries and he hoped that the meeting will help build more relationship within the two nations agricultural sector.
