The 68th Fiji Taxi Association’s Annual General Meeting in Nadi had to be called off today as there was a big commotion as soon as the AGM started at around 2pm.
As General Secretary Rishi Ram was giving us details of the incident, we could hear people shouting at the top of their voice at the Fun World Hall in Nadi.
Ram says some suspended members and others who have not paid their subscription turned up at the AGM and wanted to vote during the election.
Attorney General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum also spoke to the members of the Fiji Taxi Association earlier today, however the commotion happened after he had left.
Ram says they will try to hold their AGM in three months-time.
