The Fiji Society for the blind has received $3,700 from different stakeholders for the new bedding for their hostel.
Executive Director Barbara Farouk says they are in need of $12,000 for the 32 new beds in the hostel.
Farouk says they have sent their requests to the Australian Aid and they are awaiting for their response.
She says that the school will close on the 18th of next month and they hope that they get a positive feedback.
There are 37 students in the school and currently 18 are staying in the hostel.
Meanwhile, the school will be holding their prize giving ceremony tomorrow.
