Fiji Showcase 2014 has begun

With Fiji Showcase opening an hour ago, people have started to flock to the Vodafone Arena to see what it has in store for them.

Total Event Company Manager Loretta Jackson said people will be able to enjoy a variety of things at Fiji Showcase.

Jackson said they can also watch the different international acts that will be happening today.

Jackson said everything is all in place and they are excited about day 1.

Jackson said the exhibitors are excited since it is the first day of Fiji Showcase.

The famous cartoon characters, Sponge Bob, Kung Fu Panda, Ben 10, Dora the Explorer and the Minions are ready will be out and about today.

They will also be joined by Spiderman and Batman.

Along with Cookie the Clown and Frazer Hooper, the Yeti will also be making his first appearance.

The Yeti said he only wants one thing.

Cookie the Clown who announced his retirement yesterday said he has enjoyed performing in Fiji. 

He said Fiji will always have a very special place in his heart as he continued performing here after finishing off his performances in other parts of the world in 2004. 

However, Cookie asked everyone not to be too sad.

Meanwhile, Cookies Crazy Comedy show will start at 3.45pm at the inside Entertainment stage. 

The Children's entertainment will be at 4.30pm at the outside entertainment stage.

Fiji Showcase closes at 9pm today.

Fiji Showcase ends next Saturday.
