The Fiji Red Cross Society is working on extending its services to the Eastern Division.
Director General of the Fiji Red Cross, Filipe Nainoca says they are currently in talks with the Commissioner Eastern's Office for a suitable location for their branch.
Nainoca says they would like to position themselves especially in the islands as they are difficult to reach in times of emergencies.
He Says the Fiji Red Cross Society is targeting to help 131 communities and 36,305 people next year and they have a total of 15 branches across Fiji.
They will be reviving the Rotuma and Rabi branches from next year.
