The Fiji Public Trustee Corporation Limited has paid a dividend worth $1.5M to the government.
While receiving the cheque, Permanent Secretary for Public Enterprises David Kolitagane says this shows the level of commitment from the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation.
Kolitagane says this is a result of the hard work put together from the management level to all the staff.
FPTC CEO Atonio Takala says this is a proud move by the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation to give back even though they have not received grants from the government for the past 10 years.
Takala says this is an example of the successful reform of a government department to a government commercial company with continuous profitability in each year of operation.
He says they have paid a dividend of $4.5m in the last 10 years to the government.
Takala adds they are also proud to announce the payment of the 2013 and 2014 bonuses to their staff.
He says the bonus payment will range from 3% to 5 % of salary depending on the individual Performance Management System.
