The Fiji Police Force said it will not send replacements for the United Nations Mission in Liberia because of the Ebola crisis in the West African country.
The Commissioner of Police Ben Groenewald said the force will stick with the existing phasing out of the 27 officers after the completion of their one year tour of duty according to the scheduled period.
He added that reports from the United Nations Mission in Liberia reveal that the morale of all Fijian Police officers continues to be high and all are in good health.
The first lot of officers is expected back in the country at the end of next month with the last batch to return in May 2015.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health travel advisory remains in force for Ebola prone countries such as Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Kenya and the West African region.
