The Fiji Museum is looking at a long term sustainability plan to keep the museum environment in the right condition.
Director of the Fiji Museum Adi Meretui Ratunabuabua says the building needs a refurbishment and they also have to work on preserving all the items in the museum.
She says we have the best collection of Fijian artefacts in the world.
Ratunabuabua says they want to ensure that there is no insect infestation as it can affect the artefacts.
Ratunabuabua adds that there is a need for more space or storage so that the public can see all the artefacts and the children can engage more with their heritage.
