The success story of Fiji Airways continues as they are expected to get more brand new planes like 787s, Dreamliners or A350s in the next few years.

While speaking at the naming of the leased A330-200 plane in Nadi in the last hour, Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the airline company is continuing on an upward trend.

While naming the plane Vatulele, Sayed-Khaiyum also confirmed that the Singapore route is doing so well and the government no longer has to make a $18 million budget allocation as a marketing grant to Fiji Airways.

Sayed-Khaiyum also mentioned the development at Nadi International Airport which has been rated as one of the ten most improved airports in the world.
