A Fiji Airways spokesperson has confirmed to Fijivillage that the mechanical issue that forced the Fiji Airways FJ360 flight return to Singapore shortly after take off yesterday has been rectified.
It says that the flight will now depart Singapore for Fiji at 7 tonight and passengers who needed to travel earlier were assisted with alternative options.
Fiji Airways had earlier revealed that as the plane was returning to Changi Airport there was no panic inside the aircraft as the pilot and other crew members kept updating the passengers about the situation.
