Fiji Airways has successfully launched its direct flight to Japan.
Speaking at the launch, Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO, Andre Viljion says that the flights will operate three times a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
Viljion says the three times weekly flight will make Fiji and other South Pacific countries more accessible to Japanese tourists than ever before.
He adds that the direct flight will also provide ease and comfort to Fijians to witness two major sporting events that will be held in Japan, which is the 2019 Rugby World Cup and the Summer Olympics in 2020.
