Fiji Airways Group records a before tax profit of $95.8M for 2017

The Fiji Airways Group has recorded a before tax profit of $95.8 million for 2017.

This is the biggest profit ever for Fiji Airways.

Attorney General and Minister for Civil Aviation Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made the announcement this afternoon in Nadi revealing that Fiji Airways Group recorded a revenue of $929 million for 2017 and this is an increase of 12.5% compared to 2016 which was $825 million.

The Fiji Airways Group had made a profit of $84.5 million in 2016.

Sayed-Khaiyum has also announced that the profit will be shared amongst the staff of Fiji Airways.

He says the non-management staff will receive $4,400 bonus while the Managers will receive the management bonus of at least $9,900.

Sayed-Khaiyum also highlighted to the staff of Fiji Airways that they used to make loses 10 years ago and the company has made a huge turnaround.
