A Fiji Airways A330-200 aircraft is undergoing required repair work after a tarmac incident over the weekend.
Fiji Airways said the aircraft which was preparing to depart for Los Angeles from Nadi was hit by ground handling equipment, operated by ground handling company ATS.
As a result of the impact, Fiji Airways took the aircraft out of service.
The aircraft will now undertake the required repair before it is made available for service.
Fiji Airways Board Director Stefan Pichler said this incident will be extremely costly and they are working hard to ensure that the aircraft is fixed and returned to service as soon as possible.
